Building The Sanctuary | Tabernacle Paper Model Craft for Kids

Hey, everyone! It’s Alyssa and Kayla, and we’re super excited to share our amazing Tabernacle Paper Model project with you!

Tabernacle Paper Model

We love learning about the Bible, and when Mom got us this Tabernacle Paper Model craft, we couldn’t wait to start building it together.

The Tabernacle Paper Model craft we got from Rose Publishing was so cool! It had all the pieces we needed, but here’s the fun part – we had to cut them out ourselves!

All we needed was a pair of scissors, glue, and tape.

First, we started with the outer courtyard. It was like a big fence around the Tabernacle. We cut out all the pieces for the walls and the gate, and then we glued them together. It was so exciting to see the courtyard taking shape!

Next, we moved on to the Tent of Meeting (or the Tabernacle). It had two rooms: the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. We carefully cut out all the walls and the roof for both rooms, folded, and glued it all together. The veil was hung between the Holy and Most Holy Place. We were amazed at how the Tabernacle was coming together!

After that, we cut out the special furniture that goes into the Tabernacle. The Ark of the Covenant, which was the most sacred object in the Tabernacle. It had angel-like figures on top, and it represented God’s presence among the Israelites. We put Ark in in the Most Holy Place.

There was also the Altar of Incense, Table of Showbread, and the Golden Lampstand in the Holy Place.

In the courtyard, we put the Brass Laver, and the Bronze (Brazen) Altar.

As we cut and glued each piece, we read stories from the Bible about the Tabernacle. We learned how important it was to the Israelites and how it helped them connect with God.

Finally, we added the finishing touches. We cut out little people figurines, like priests and worshippers, to make our Tabernacle scene come to life.

Building the Tabernacle Paper Model was such an exciting and creative experience for us. We learned so much about the history and meaning of the Tabernacle.

We hope you enjoyed hearing about our adventure in building the Tabernacle Paper Model. It was a special project that brought us closer to God and taught us about the importance of worship.
